On October 21, 2023, the Hacktoberfest event, organized by the Google Developer Students team (GDSC) under the Computer Science (CS) club at St. Mary’s University graduate campus, American Corner, was a tremendous success. The primary objective of the event was to encourage open-source project contributions and featured a guest speaker, Bereket Engida.
The event marked a collaborative effort among GDSC chapters from St. Mary’s University, HiLCoE School of Computer Science and Technology, and Addis Ababa University, bringing together 38 enthusiastic students eager to explore the realm of open-source contributions.
